The Vic West story

Victoria West FC was established in 1896. We are one of the oldest established soccer clubs in Canada.  In 2012 Vic West was also inducted into the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame as an Organization of Distinction.

In 1996, Vic West celebrated it’s centenary. To honour this occasion, Mr. Dave Unwin researched and wrote a fabulous account of 100 years of soccer on Vancouver Island.

“From the Sidelines ... A 100 Year View of Vancouver Island Soccer and the Victoria West Athletic Association” is 360 pages in length and is an excellent read. Sixty (60) brilliant pages are dedicated to the history of Vic West and we are delighted to share this with you here. However, because of space limitations photographs have not been reproduced, but one day we hope to include these as well.
